SEND Secondary Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers are currently recruiting for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream secondary school in the L37 area. The school have a separate unit for students with special educational needs, students will have a variety of SEND to include low level ability, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and attachment disorders. The ideal applicant will have experience of working with children of secondary age groups and have some experience within SEND.

Starts asap with a view to going long term or temp-perm for the right candidate. Hours of work are full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-15:30pm.

To be considered for this position the ideal applicant will have

• Childcare related certificates preferred but not essential
• Experience working with secondary age students for a minimum of 3 months
• Knowledge or experience in a variety of special educational needs
• Be willing to support students with literacy and numeracy
• Have a current enhanced DBS check or willing to apply for one with Career Teachers
