Our Women in Finance Insight Day is a chance to gain an understanding of what it is like working at Scotiabank, build your work experience, develop new skills and grow your network.
The Insight Day has been designed to offer talented, motivated students a chance to discover more about the work we do, our diverse teams, the career opportunities available to you as well as enhance your employability skills.
Over the course of the day, you will:

  • Hear from our leaders and discover how you could help shape the future of finance by joining us
  • Expand your professional network through networking with your peers, our Graduates and Senior leaders
  • Improve your employability skills during sessions delivered by the Early Careers team including application preparation and commercial awareness
  • Take part in professional skills development workshops delivered by the business with a focus on economic outlooks, personal branding and senior stakeholder management

Eligibility criteria

  • This opportunity is aimed at students who identify as women, are in their first year of an undergraduate degree (or second year of a four year degree) and are interested in future Internship or Graduate roles within Banking, including Global Capital Markets and Corporate & Investment Banking
  • We welcome applications from students of all degree disciplines
  • You have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the financial markets
  • You have a genuine interest in a career within Capital Markets or Corporate & Investment Banking
  • You are a problem solver and have the ability to overcome challenges presented by a constantly changing work environment
  • You possess a high level of attention to detail, quantitative skills, and professional standards
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment

Scotiabank\'s Women in Finance Insight Day will take place on Wednesday 6th December 2023, 10:00 - 17:00 at our London office near Liverpool Street.
