Hours: Full Time (35 hrs/week)

Contract: 2 roles available: 1 x Permanent, 1 x 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover)

Location: Home based, with occasional travel to London Kings Cross area for team meetings

Responsible to: Head of Science

We are a national breast cancer charity focussed entirely on breast cancer prevention:

  • We fund scientific research into environmental and chemical links to breast cancer
  • We educate and raise awareness about the lifestyle and environmental risk factors of breast cancer, empowering people to reduce their risk of developing the disease
  • We campaign for policies that protect people\'s health and promote the prevention of breast cancer.
We are scaling up our work and our impact so we are building our team with talented, motivated, and ambitious individuals who want to contribute to helping us become the leading voice in breast cancer prevention.

About you

You will be a highly motivated individual with research experience in specialist areas including: chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, biomedical science, environmental science, nutrition, cancer biology and/or toxicology. You will have an interest in the links between harmful chemicals and/or lifestyle and human health, and in breast cancer prevention. You will have experience in science writing with skills in communicating scientific information to a general audience. You will be a self-driven team player, content to work remotely and ready to get going with a busy programme of work.
