Ribbons & Reeves are looking to appoint an inspirational Science Graduate to take on a Teaching Assistant role at a high-performing Secondary School in Merton, London.
Science Teaching Assistant -
- To work closely with the Science departments to assist in the inclusion of all pupils in science lessons
- Providing 1:1 and small group catch-up sessions/interventions as directed by the school\'s teaching staff.
- To provide targeted Science intervention to pupils with SEN under the direction of the school SENCO.
- To help in the preparation and delivery of practical Science lessons
- To develop subject specific resources and materials to support scientific learning
- To contribute to the record-keeping and assessment of pupils within the science department.
Physics, Chemistry and Biology Graduates can all be considered for this role providing you have the expertise to boost the attainment of the desired subject areas up to GCSE.
The school are hoping to appoint an aspiring Science Teacher who is enthusiastic, confident and able build a positive rapport with the 11-16 age range. Previous formal or informal child-centred experience is desirable (Tutor, TA, Mentor).
