Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students in various scientific disciplines, including but not limited to Physics, while fostering a stimulating learning environment. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to engage students in scientific inquiry and experimentation.

Duties



Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover the science curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards. Educate students on key scientific concepts, theories, and practical applications through lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory experiments. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity in scientific research. Provide tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support or wish to deepen their understanding of the subject matter. Collaborate with special education staff to adapt lessons for students with diverse learning needs. Maintain an organised classroom and laboratory space, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional for student use. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in science education and pedagogical strategies.

Skills



Strong knowledge of scientific principles, particularly in Physics and related fields. Proficient in Maths to support the teaching of scientific calculations and data analysis. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students of varying abilities. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students, particularly those requiring special education support. Familiarity with laboratory practices and safety protocols is essential for conducting experiments. Ability to proofread academic materials for clarity and accuracy before distribution to students. A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that promotes scientific literacy and critical thinking skills among students.

Pay: 155.44-175.14 per day
