We are currently seeking a School Caretaker to join one of our schools in Leeds. This is a temporary position with the potential for extension, offering a competitive daily rate of \xc2\xa390-\xc2\xa3100. As a School Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school premises. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the security of the school, carrying out general maintenance tasks, and providing a welcoming and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Security: Monitor and secure the school premises, including locking and unlocking buildings as required. Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and basic DIY duties. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and report any hazards or issues promptly. Cleaning: Assist with cleaning and janitorial duties to maintain a clean and orderly environment. Support: Provide support during school events and activities, including setting up and tidying up spaces. Communication: Maintain effective communication with school staff and contractors. Record Keeping: Keep records of maintenance and security activities as required.Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in a caretaker or similar role is desirable. Basic DIY and maintenance skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual.Working Hours: This role involves variable working hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the school. Flexibility is essential.
