Job Description
What is the role?
To relieve teachers of non-teaching duties including classroom administration and practical tasks such as the preparation of teaching materials.
Support the learning activities of children under the direction of the classroom teacher / Principal Teacher and other colleagues.
Support pupils with additional support needs of a wide nature which include physical difficulties and challenging behaviour.

The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 4; the hourly rate is from \xc2\xa312.11 to \xc2\xa312.42 and the annual salary, adjusted for a term-time working pattern, is from \xc2\xa313,289 - \xc2\xa314,128. Please note this post is temporary until 28 June 2024.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
