As a Sandwich Hand, you will play a crucial role in crafting delicious sandwiches and ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and accurately. This position requires strong time management skills and an understanding of food safety practices.

Duties

Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches according to customer specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and preparing sauces. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the kitchen. Follow basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for accurate ingredient measurement and portion control. A friendly disposition with the ability to assist customers effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.44-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 18 per week
