About us:

Stewart Brothers Concrete is a family run business, operating two concrete plants in the East Kent area. Using high quality products, we supply customers ranging from large commercial developments to domestic home projects. Alongside our concrete sales, we serve the construction industry with building aggregates covering the whole of Kent and East Sussex

About the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Representative / Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing our sales in ready mix concrete, aggregates, and muck away in Kent and East Sussex. Typical duties will include identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, building relationships with customers by using marketing and social media to expand our presence online, whilst delivering excellent customer service. Along with solidifying our reputation as a leading supplier in our industry

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a customer base by proactively canvassing the market for new supply opportunities
  • Build personable relationships with key decision makers in the industry to promote repeat business
  • Lead generation to be converted and monitored
  • Manage and support our customers by ensuring regular contact via the telephone, email and site visits
  • Follow up on customer enquiries and orders
  • Review planning leads and build a sales lead ledger including tender and site updates
  • Communicate with plant managers to ensure our supply / logistics network works efficiently
  • Assist customers with advice through product knowledge and closing sales leads
  • To seek and establish market knowledge, including prices, competitor activity and customer tender progress
About you:
  • Understand and believe in upholding our company values
  • Be proficient with Microsoft office
  • Have experience in sales and customer service, preferably in the building materials or construction industry although not essential
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be willing to work in a team and also be self-motivated to use their own initiative when visiting customers
  • Hold a full UK driving license
