ABOUT OUR TEAM:



The Accounting Services Team are a part of the centralised shared services based across several locations in the UK, US and Asia. We are made up of thirty-eight staff supporting over twenty of the UK and overseas Agencies covering all aspects of finance, from day-to-day accounting to the preparation of group submissions and dealing with new acquisitions and their integration into the Group.
Role:

ABOUT THE ROLE:



As a Sales Ledger Assistant you will be a part of a team processing a high volume of transactions and servicing multiple companies. Due to this, working together as a tight knit team is a priority, continually looking for ways to work efficiently and maintaining the highest possible standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for the Sales Ledger team for queries, delegating tasks appropriately in line with the guidance of the Sales & Purchase Ledger Manager. Perform credit control duties, including issuing monthly statements, contacting clients regarding overdue payments, and maintaining accurate correspondence records. Manage the sales ledger email inboxes, responding to and resolving internal and external queries promptly and professionally via email or phone. Process, issue, and send sales invoices to clients. Ensure accuracy of data entry into finance and in-house job costing systems. Support the administration of the in-house job costing system and assist users across The MISSION Group. Maintain the various sales ledgers, ensuring accounts are well-organized and up to date. Process card receipts over the phone when necessary. Assist with monthly reconciliations and report findings to the Manager. Foster effective working relationships within the Finance team and across The MISSION Group. Support any reasonable ad hoc requests from the Sales & Purchase Ledger Manager.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

Experience working in a Finance Department, ideally with a focus on sales ledger Strong written & verbal communication skills Proficient numeracy and analytical skills with attention to detail. Well-organized and capable of working to monthly deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word A good eye for detail & an analytical mindset Committed to completing tasks accurately and on time.
