Job Description

ZeroFox is looking for a Sales Engineering Team Lead to lead and mentor a team of Sales Engineers, supporting the Sales organization in driving new business from prospective and existing customer accounts. This role will focus on enabling the team to execute technical wins, drive revenue, and expand the pipeline. The Sales Engineer Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the technical pre-sales engagement process, ensuring the team effectively demonstrates ZeroFox's value to customers and partners.


This position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of security domains, a strong technical background, and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales engineering, leadership experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product management, and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Sales Engineers, ensuring their technical and professional growth Act as a strategic partner to the Sales organization, ensuring timely and successful closure of sales opportunities Drive customer engagements by overseeing technical pre-sales processes, proof of concepts, and product demonstrations Collaborate with Sales leadership to define and execute technical sales strategies to meet revenue goals Support channel partners by enabling their teams on ZeroFox solutions and assisting in technical sales efforts Serve as a key liaison between customers and Product Management, ensuring customer feedback drives product improvements Develop and implement best practices for pre-sales engagement, ensuring consistency and excellence across the team Stay up-to-date with industry trends, security threats, and competitive solutions to position ZeroFox effectively in the market Represent ZeroFox at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as a technical expert and leader Drive RFP/RFI response processes and oversee technical documentation for sales engagements Travel as needed to support customer engagements, conferences, and team development (estimated 40%)

Requirements



5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering role, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity Proven track record of mentoring, coaching, and leading high-performing teams Experience selling security solutions and conducting technical sales engagements Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including malware, phishing, social engineering, and networking security infrastructure Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEMs (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) and API integrations (REST, JSON, Maltego) Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to build relationships with C-level executives, enterprise clients, and channel partners Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively Highly competitive, adaptive, and results-driven mindset

Education and Experience Required



BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Security-related certifications preferred (CISSP, CEH, GIAC, etc.) Experience in enterprise security solutions, technical consulting, or sales engineering
