Job Description

A leading UK pump distributor is seeking a Sales Engineer with pump industry experience to join the internal sales team at the company\'s Head Office in Woking, Surrey. The company provides sales, technical support and repair functions in the UK for select pump manufacturers from the USA and Europe.

With over 50 years of history, they are a trusted name in UK industry. They specialise in the supply of seal-less pump solutions including magnet-drive technology. The portfolio includes a wide range of gear and diaphragm pumps, alongside centrifugal and side channel pump options. The main markets served are the Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and Power Generation industries.

The role:
- Assisting customers technically via e-mail and telephone.
- Receiving new enquiries via e-mail and telephone.
- Making technical selections based on the client\'s application details.
- Preparing and sending technical quotations in a timely and well-presented manner.
- Liaising with principals and key suppliers.

Future Prospects:
The right candidate could develop over time into an External Sales Engineer or a Project Manager.

Training:
- On-the-job training will be provided at our Woking office, however you need to have the pre-requisite skills to build upon.
- Training will also be provided by principal suppliers.

Skills/Education/Qualifications:
- IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Technical background, ideally evidenced by an Engineering or Science related qualification.
- You should have experience of working with pumps through a previous role, preferentially for a distributor or a manufacturer.
- Experience in technical sales is desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Location:
- Candidates should live within a commutable distance of Woking, Surrey.

Hours of work:
- 8 am - 4.30 pm Monday - Thursday
- 8 am - 1.30 pm Fridays
