Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Play a key role in the sales and marketing for two of Leicester Museums & Galleries iconic visitor attractions - King Richard III Visitor Centre and Jewry Wall Roman Museum.

Become the leading voice, promoting the greatest archaeological detective story ever told and two thousand years of Leicester\xe2\x80\x99s history. Since opening in 2014, the King Richard III Visitor Centre has received over 40 awards and almost half a million paying visitors. We are currently celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the rediscovery, and reinterment of Richard III and will be celebrating our own 10th birthday in 2024.

Jewry Wall Museum has been closed for a major multi-million-pound refurbishment since 2017 and is due to reopen in the Autumn of 2024. A Real Roman Experience that merges the very best cutting-edge exhibition technology with the incredible roman stories associated with the archaeology finds discovered across Leicester, all housed next to one of the largest pieces of surviving civil Roman architecture in Britain.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be critical in the ongoing strategic promotion of both sites, leading on the marketing and promotion of the re-opening of Jewry Wall and improving our promotion of the last English King to die in battle, the first to be DNA tested, King Richard III.

As the creative force behind our marketing and promotional campaigns, you\xe2\x80\x99ll develop, and deliver strategies and campaigns, which generate income on-site and on-line from ticket sales, bookings, events, retail, catering. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be familiar with the hub and spoke model for destination marketing and be a willing collaborator in supporting our partners and neighbours to enhance the overall marketing offer for visitors to the city as well as to our visitor attractions. Working closely on our various marketing channels, you\xe2\x80\x99ll manage communications with existing and future customers and social media followers as well as leading on the way we interact with both the public and the media.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week. You may be required to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when appropriate.
