Represent Cathay Pacific Airways with respect to all Group Security matters that impact its operations in the European region specifically in the U.K.
Support the Headquarter team, including cargo security team to oversee and direct all Cathay Pacific Group Security processes, procedures and investigations and supports regional (Senior) Airport Operations Managers and other internal stakeholders in the region.
Work together in a coordinated manner with Headquarters including cargo security team to ensure the airline security operations in the region meet various regulatory security requirements and standards in a consistent manner.
To partner with the Regional General Manager, Regional Head of Airports, Country Managers, Airport Operations Managers, Cargo Managers and the Regional Engineering Manager to ensure robust E&A and business continuity plans are in place at all locations and that there is regional and organisational alignment in planning and response.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct onsite security audit and assurance visits across the region for pax and cargo operations on a recurring basis to assess CX operational security, meet with regulators, stakeholders and suppliers, and implement plans to remediate findings of non-compliance and non-conformance.
Monitor regional security threats and maintain regular communication and close links with regional management and Headquarter security team relative to security issues and threats in the region.
Identify all security related risks, formulate mitigation plans and make recommendations to regional management and Headquarters with respect to developing appropriate security measure for the region.
Maintain currency of knowledge on all demographic, political and social issues/changes that may affect Cathay Pacific operations in the region. Act as a subject matter expert on regional risk, country level risk, regional and country specific risk mitigation strategies.
Maintain effective communication and close working relations with all regional management and other internal stakeholders to ensure that their security needs are met and all station security related issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Provide general or ad-hoc technical guidance, advice and support to regional management and the regional teams from a security perspective.
Take the lead where appropriate in the management of security operational incidents at the airport/inflight in the region through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct and support ongoing security threat/risk assessment in the region based on vulnerability criteria to determine appropriate levels of protection and security necessary for CX operations and provide timely and accurate security advice, credible intelligence and information to regional management that may have a security impact to CX operations.
Be the subject matter expert on air cargo security within the region.
Assist in conducting internal security investigation such as fraud, theft, security breaches and insider threat when required and also liaise with external agencies (i.e. law enforcement) as required to meet business requirements.
Business Resilience
Working with the Business Resilience Coordinator, act as a conduit between GSORM Business Resilience and the ports with in the Europe region.
Ensure Town Office and ports\' E&A plans are fit for purpose, updated and compliant with all state and local regulations.
Ensure Business resilience coordinator regularly participates in in E&A exercises and table tops, in the office and at the ports Ensure program in place for induction and training of all staff with a crisis response task such that they are familiar with the airline E&A plan, humanitarian response, Call-out systems.
Requirements
Academic qualifications
High School Graduation
Knowledge, skills, training and experience
Minimum 2 years previous experience in emergency response, business continuity, or related activities is required
Minimum 5 years previous experience in the aviation industry, preferably with Airport operational experience/exposure
Solid time management and co-ordination skills
