Lancashire Constabulary\'s Media & Engagement Division is seeking a Press & PR Officer to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.

The Role:

As a member of the Constabulary\'s Press and PR team you will work to provide a high quality, comprehensive proactive and reactive press and PR service for the Constabulary, it\'s stakeholders and the media, with the aim of increasing public confidence and reducing the fear of crime.

No two days are the same, with incidents varying day-to-day. Working on call can be challenging, but rewarding, providing support out of hours for officers who need your help. Issuing appeals which help police make arrests or solve crimes, shows you\'re making a difference.

The Press and PR Officer will manage media enquiries, prepare responses, record all activity and provide advice to officers and staff on all media relations activity.

They will be a member of the press office on-call rota, providing out of hours support and advice on operational, investigative and reputational matters.

The post is included in the 2023/24 approved business plan and is business critical.
