DESCRIPTION:
A ruminant nutritionist qualified at PhD or second-degree level is required by a northern commercial Company involved in the Animal Feed industry. Candidates will have at least five years commercial experience in the ruminant feed industry. This technical sales role will support product feeding advice to leading farmer customers and will be accomplished at giving advice on dairy and cattle farms
Candidates need to be able to demonstrate a practical working empathy with dairy cows plus be up to date with the latest dairy cow nutritional knowledge. This lead ruminant nutritionist role will be able to influence the management and maintenance of operational product specifications and specific custom feed solutions. This nutrition leader will work closely together with the formulation department.
Candidates will need to be computer literate, organised, flexible, self-motivated, and ambitious. Excellent communication skills with good time management and strong interpersonal skills are essential. This role will be majority field based and will work mainly with the company\'s customer in Yorkshire but also surrounding counties
This job represents an excellent opportunity to join a strong feed business in dairy cow and cattle nutrition influencing feeding and nutrition practices. Whilst this is a technical nutritionist role working mainly with dairy farmers, there is also need for candidates to be commercially and sales minded.
