Rotational Veterinary Nurse

Job Description

Due to expansion of the nursing team, we are looking to recruit a full time qualified registered veterinary nurses to work as part of our Ninja Nurse team on a permanent basis.

This role gives the successful candidate an opportunity to explore the referral hospital and expand on their referral experience and knowledge. We are looking for a dynamic and hard-working nurse who is willing to move around the hospital, under the direction of the Senior Nursing Management and Head Nurse team. This role would be ideal for someone that is wanting to work in the referral setting without selecting one specialism.

We are ideally looking for a nurse with at least 1-year experience as a qualified nurse. While experience in a referral environment is desirable, it is not essential. You will also have the opportunity to assist with the teaching and supervision of Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing undergraduates during their clinical rotations.

A typical day


The great thing about a career as a Ninja Nurse is that no two days will be the same.
Some of your day-to-day tasks could include:
- Clinical nursing duties
- Teaching and supervising Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing undergraduates
- Dispensing and administering medication to animals
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Clinical Governance

At the end of the day, providing exceptional care for someone's beloved pet brings with it a huge feeling of job satisfaction and achievement.

About you


General



Ability to act independently Flexible approach to work Excellent organisation and communication skills Able to deal with stressful and at times upsetting situations

Role specific



Minimum of 12 months working as a VN in clinical practice Experience working within a referral environment RCVS listed veterinary nurse
