We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tiles in various settings, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work with various tools and materials.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas as per project specifications. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying adhesives. Set tiles in place according to design plans, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing tiles. Ensure that all installations are plumb and level, making adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers when required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the project duration. Fabricate custom pieces as needed to complete installations.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tile setting. Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans accurately. Strong physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of carpentry principles is beneficial for integrating tile work with other structures. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in finishing work.
