We work to sell PRH UKs books into other markets and channels including North American rights: licensing our books to US and Canadian publishers for publication in North America.Translation rights: selling rights to translate our UK titles into other languages.Dramatisation rights: creating opportunities to turn our books into films, television programs and theatre productions.As Rights Sales Associate, youll take charge of a wide range of administrative and sales tasks to support a fast-paced team, as well as work on group-wide projects. You will manage several projects at any one time and work to deadlines that enable the team to deliver a high quality of service to our customers. Youll work on rights projects for many of our leading authors and will liaise with a variety of internal colleagues as well as connecting with key customers.Key responsibilities:Produce regular analysis and/or presentations of rights businessHelp to organise rights events such as author receptions or virtual webinarsProvide administrative support, such as invoicing, processing contracts, creating reports and minute-takingProvide sales support including book fair scheduling, travel booking, expenses, loading of deals on to databaseNegotiate, sell and supply production files to customersPrepare sales material in advance of sales tripsNegotiate and renew expired licencesWork collaboratively with other assistants in the team to improve ways of workingWhat youll bringEssential criteria:Passion for booksFast learner with confident IT and data skills (MS Office Excel/Word/Outlook)Able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.Detail-orientedStrong organisation skillsConfident in networking and building relationshipsDemonstrable understanding of managing multiple stakeholders at varying senioritiesDemonstrable communication skillsProven written ability showcased through your application.What you will learnThe Rights Sales Associate role provides a fantastic grounding in the business of publishing.
