Our client, a rapidly expanding international co-edition publisher specialising in illustrated non-fiction, is on the lookout for a driven and self-motivated individual to join their friendly and supportive team as a Rights Executive / Senior Rights Executive (level depending on experience). The role will be based out of the company's London office, with flexibility for some hybrid working.Reporting to the Managing Director, this is the ideal opportunity for someone looking for that next step up from Co-Edition Rights Assistant / Executive, or similar. The specific territories they'll manage will be dependent upon experience & language skills. Working in a small company amongst a collaborative team you will reap all the associated rewards and have the chance to gain insight into the various areas of publishing. Responsibilities will include:Co-edition Sales Support:
xc2xb7Assist the Director and Operations Manager in co-edition sales.
xc2xb7Optimise revenue in accordance with budget constraints.
xc2xb7Handle the distribution of materials, update the file-maker, and engage in chasing and negotiating activities as required.Reprints Management:
xc2xb7Take direct responsibility for reprints in assigned territories.
xc2xb7Maximise sales potential and ensure timely renewal or reversion of rights.
xc2xb7Prepare comprehensive reprint reports when necessary.Territorial Sales:
xc2xb7Directly manage co-edition sales in specified territories (to be agreed upon).
xc2xb7Oversee pricing, negotiation, and deal closures to optimise profit margins.Event Coordination:
xc2xb7Organise participation in book fairs as required.
xc2xb7Prepare for meetings and create necessary materials.
xc2xb7Attend book fairs to represent the company and foster business relationships.With a proven track record in a commercial environment in book publishing, you will ideally bring knowledge of, or exposure to managing illustrated titles within co-editions and special sales and be comfortable with occasional travel across the assigned territory (TBC). Additionally, commercial awareness, and a successful history of achieving sales targets would be ideal.
