Operating within a prestigious private members' golf club, Shay Brennan Golf is dedicated to delivering a premium experience for all members and guests. Our on-site Golf Store is central to this mission, providing the latest golf equipment, apparel, and expert guidance within a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, inspire our team, and consistently elevate the Shay Brennan Golf retail experience.

The Role:

Reporting directly to Shay Brennan, Club Professional, the Retail Shop Manager will take full responsibility for managing the Golf Store operations. You will ensure outstanding customer service, meticulous stock management, and lead a motivated team, significantly contributing to the ongoing success and growth of Shay Brennan Golf.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all daily operations of the Golf Store, prioritising exceptional customer service. Offer expert, personalised advice and guidance on golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. Maintain optimum inventory levels, managing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely product availability. Provide dedicated merchandising support for Shay Brennan and the coaching team during clinics, club events, and tournaments. Recruit, train, and effectively manage a small team, including seasonal and part-time retail staff. Ensure the store presentation consistently meets and exceeds brand standards. Produce weekly and monthly sales performance reports, offering actionable insights and recommendations. Establish and manage sales targets for staff to drive performance. Develop engaging newsletters to promote store offerings, events, and special promotions.

Requirements:

Proven retail management experience, preferably within golf, sports retail, or similar premium retail environments. Genuine passion for golf with a comprehensive understanding of golf products and industry trends. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Experience with retail management systems, POS, and inventory management software. Highly organised, detail-focused, and adept at balancing multiple tasks and priorities. Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends and peak club seasons. Ability to confidently lead, train, and motivate a small team to achieve sales targets. Proficiency in producing professional-quality communications such as newsletters and reports.
