Overview

Stringers of Edinburgh Ltd is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Associate to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave for a fixed term of 12 months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic specialist retail environment, providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of our business. Salary is from 25,000 and will be based on knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in choosing instruments and accessories. Provide knowledgeable information about products and services to enhance customer experience. Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed. Handle customer inquiries via phone/email and in-person with excellent phone etiquette and written English. Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the till. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain standards. Participate in inventory management, including stock replenishment and organisation. Assist with admin/data entry tasks

Qualifications

An appreciation of Classical music. We are ideally looking for a violinist. We are not looking for a professional player but a musical background or basic music knowledge is essential. Previous retail or sales experience is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and assist with stock management. A genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
