Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their purchases, and contributing to the overall success of the store and forecourt.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs, ensuring a welcoming shopping/service experience. Maintain concentration in our busy fuel and shop site to ensure customers are served promptly and politely. Engage in upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. E.G. approaching customers if they look like they are looking for something in particular to try to help them. Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. Handle till transactions accurately for both cash and credit/debit cards. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment. Stay informed about product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers. E.G. Our Star Rewards benefit scheme.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Organisational skills to maintain an orderly sales environment. A friendly demeanour with a passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 37 per week
