Shifts can be a bit of a mixture of breakfast, lunchtime and dinner shifts,

This role is approximately 20-40 hours per week (or longer if you require more hours)and shifts are a mix of mornings/days and evening shifts throughout the week. We finish no later than 11.00pm most evenings.

We are looking for someone who is a real people person, passionate about great food & drinks, making great memories for our customers and are prepared to get stuck in and learn in a fast paced environment.
In this role, you will be the face of the bar and restaurant delivering memorable moments for our guests. You will be involved with the service of food, drinks, coffees, and cocktails to our guests and most importantly, building a great rapport with them.
We can offer a friendly working environment; we're not stuffy but we do have high standards! If you bring a cheerful disposition, enthusiastic approach (and comfortable shoes!) - we'll provide the coaching and skills training to equip you for the role. Hours of work can be discussed with you, but we are upfront that it will include some evening and weekend shifts - those are the most fun shifts to work though!
Experience is essential and we are looking for people with a 'can-do' attitude, a desire to exceed expectations, a bubbly and outgoing personality and who strive to provide outstanding service. Our team are extremely fun loving and enthusiastic, and we are looking for people to fit in with this ethos.
Key responsibilities:
Greet customers politely as they enter the restaurant, introducing yourself
Show customers to their tables and present menus
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the menu items, including specials
Have a good understanding of the menu items in terms of preparation, ingredients and presentation
Be fully aware of allergy information on menu items
Offer food and wine suggestions, as well as complementary items
Take food and beverage orders accurately, noting any special requests
Ensure customers meet alcohol legal age requirements
Read back food orders with customers to ensure accuracy
Input the order into POS System
Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to process and expedite food orders
Prepare tables for service, ensuring correct layout
Ensure customers are satisfied with their food orders, beverages and service
Upsell food and beverage items throughout the meal
Monitor customer's needs and promptly handle requests
Handle customer complaints in a polite and professional manner, escalating to management as required
Process cash and credit card payments
Maintain a clean and organised service area
Comply with safety, health and hygiene policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required by management

About you:
Ideally you will be able to drive and have access to your own car, or can reliably commute to Weston Subedge GL55 6QH for work in the day and evenings.
You will be over 18 years of age to be able to serve our lovely alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
You will have some bar & server experience.
You will be a UK resident or have right to work in the UK and can relocate at own expense. No accommodation is available.
