Our client is a leading international law firm headquartered in London, with offices in Brussels, Hong Kong and China. They have over 1000 staff and are now looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
They are now looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant; the purpose of the role is to provide financial and management information to the firm as part of the finance team.
Responsibilities
Support Partners in securing Capital Loans, including incremental increases and settlement upon departure.
Preparation or Partner Accounts including Capital Comparison computation.
Review monthly drawings.
Remaining abreast of industry changes that impact the firm and making recommendations for policy or procedure changes as needed.
Working closely with the Financial Controller on the year end audit and preparation of the annual financial statements including all subsidiary company accounts.
Preparing schedules for year-end Partnership accounts and audit (for UK and overseas offices)
Preparation of year-end journals and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely closing of the year-end. Work includes but not limited to: Bad debt provisions, holiday carry over accruals, depreciation, etc.
Managing the Charitable Trust including account preparation and audit.
Review of Partnership Tax computation, working alongside Head of Tax.
Review key statistical data to the Office of National Statistics.
Review quarterly VAT returns for all entities.
Partnering with managers across the firm and assisting with the budget process.
Provide support to Financial Controller and others in the Finance Team.
Participate in systems upgrades and implementations ensuring that systems support both firm and UK statutory requirements.
Mentor, coach and train accounting staff, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Candidate Profile
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
Experience in Partnership Accounting, 5 years
Four years\xe2\x80\x99 experience, post qualification in a relevant professional services environment
Ability to build strong business relationships with internal clients and the resilience
A confident, proactive individual prepared to take a hands-on approach to managing their workload using their own initiative
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Packages (e.g. Word).
Experience in using 3E accounting software (desirable).
