Salary: 24,309.07 to 29,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract/Hours: Permanent Full Time - 37 hours per week (Some weekend working, and sleep-ins will be required with a sleep-in allowance of 50)

A bit about the role
Residential Support workers play a crucial role in establishing a secure and nurturing setting for the growth and development of the children and young people in our care. We are specifically seeking a Residential Support Worker with leadership experience or seniority in a similar capacity. Your focus will be prioritising our children's well-being through person centred care, guidance and advocacy to ensure their safety, health and fulfilment of their potential.
About the service
Chesterfield is an exciting new residential home that offers accommodation and support for children and young people aged up to 18 years with both physical and learning disabilities. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every individual can thrive.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our young people achieve their personal goals and develop their independence. You may be asked to sleep in on occasions and you will earn an extra 50 for each one.
We are looking for qualified support workers to join our growing team, however we are open to applications from candidates who are eager to work towards obtaining this qualification on our career pathway.
How you'll help create brighter futures
In the role of Residential Support Worker, you'll be:
Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk.
Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.
Lead shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service.
Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures.
Lead by example with the application of Action for Children's policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements.
Assessing, reviewing, planning, and providing a 24/7 care service in line with regulatory requirements.

Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:
Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust.
Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families.
Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting.
Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role.
