12.50 - 13.19 (Depending on qualification)

Shifts pattern: 5:2

shift pattern with sleep-ins - rolling 2 week rota ever with every other weekend off.

Access to vehicle required:

A full UK driving license, and we ask that you get business insurance for your vehicle.

What you'll do

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Crystal Care Solutions team for a Residential Children's Worker within one of our registered Children's Homes. Our aim and yours will be to transform the lives of looked-after children. As a Residential Children's Worker, every day will be different and you won't find a more rewarding career.

You'll enjoy working with children and young people, providing day to day support, guidance and activities. You'll create a safe, caring and supportive place to live for children and young people.

What you'll need

Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home Have resilience, motivation and determination Can adapt to challenging and changing situations Be inclusive to all children and young people Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins. Desirable Attributes

Diploma L3 Health and Social Care: Practice (Children and Young People) or equivalent or willingness to work towards the above Level 3 qualification Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Children's Homes Experience of Ofsted inspections Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
