Grove, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in providing exceptional care to children within a residential setting in our beautiful newly opened home in Grove.

The children we support have often experienced challenging childhoods, which may include emotional and behavioural difficulties, and some may also have potential learning disabilities.

We are looking for staff who can offer a safe, nurturing, and structured environment, helping these children build emotional resilience, develop positive coping strategies, and achieve their full potential.

Your role will be vital in supporting these children's growth, offering guidance, understanding, and ensuring their wellbeing while fostering an environment of respect and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people. Assist with day-to-day care, mealtimes, and activities. Support emotional and behavioural development through positive role modelling and guidance. Help children and young people achieve their personal goals and engage in educational, recreational, and social activities. Work as part of a team to ensure each child's welfare, safety, and progress. Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Strong skills in report writing and maintaining accurate records. A solid understanding of child safeguarding and the ability to act in the best interests of children and young people at all times. Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Empathetic, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication skills. Experience in a residential care setting or similar (preferred but not essential). Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team. A commitment to professional development and the willingness to undertake training and learning opportunities. Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Residential Children's Care (if not already qualified).
We offer competitive salary packages, ongoing training, and a supportive environment where you can grow both personally and professionally. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children in care and to develop your skills further.
