Job Description

Career Teachers are supporting a large education and care provision who cater for children and young people from 5 to 25 years of age who have profound and complex additional needs and learning difficulties. They wish to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants/Residential Care Workers to join their team to cover care needs for the Summer holidays. There will be two shifts available from Monday to Friday; 7.30am to 3pm and 2.30pm to 10pm.

This incredible provision is made up of a primary school, secondary school and further education establishment, alongside residential care for all. Children and young people here are given the very best experiences and support to ensure they are able to lead a fulfilled life.

They currently require a number of people to support them to continue caring for their children and young people over the summer holidays in their residential homes.

To be considered for a short term opportunity with this outstanding provision, you will have gained some experience working, volunteering, caring or living with a child or young person who has profound and/or complex additional needs. Some individuals use alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton and BSL so it would be beneficial if you had experience of using these, however it is not essential.

Qualifications are not essential for this role, however this provision have had some great success stories from people with Psychology, Health and Social Care, Childcare and Residential Care qualifications.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
