About usThe Department of Neurodegenerative Disease is recognised as one of foremost international centres for the study of dementia and other neurodegenerative disease.The Wray lab is recognised nationally and internationally for their work investigating the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer\xe2\x80\x99s Disease and Frontotemporal Dementia. The lab uses iPSC to complement other in vitro and in vivo models to understand the molecular, cellular and circuit abnormalities underlying the pathological deficits observed in Alzheimer\xe2\x80\x99s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.About the roleWe offer an exceptional opportunity for a Research Technician to support research programmes within the Wray Lab. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is passionate about cell models and their impact on our understanding of neurological diseases. You will be capable of critical thinking, and of voicing your own opinions, have the ability to work well under pressure, have strong IT skills, and have a careful and methodical tissue culture technique, with rigorous attention to detail.This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation.
