Overview of the Role
Can you provide technical support to research projects? Do you have a strong interest in cancer or aging biology and a working knowledge of sample preparation and protein detection technology?
As an enthusiastic, talented and motivated scientific research technician you will support accelerated aging translational work as part of NIHR Leeds BRC Haematology theme. The main focus of this workstream is the delineation and validation of biomarkers of frailty. In this context, clinical samples are taken and processed for clinical validation studies.
Your line managers will be Dr Claire Taylor and Professor Gordon Cook and the research team comprises clinical academics and scientists with expertise in immune profiling, clinical, radiological and MedTech frailty assessments in both clinical trials and real-world settings.
