Fixed term (13 months)
Full Time (35 hours per week)
We are looking for a talented post doctoral scientist to work on cardiac regeneration in human cells and using experimental models with a particular focus on vascular regeneration.
The Opportunity:
To contribute to the management and publishing BHF Regenerative Medicine Grant research relating to the role of non-coding RNA in cardiovascular disease. This will involve analysis of both microRNA and long non-coding RNA in vitro, in vivo and in human biological samples.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A PhD or thesis submitted/in preparation or equivalent professional qualification and/or experience in the field of cardiovascular biology/therapy.
- Appropriate degree, with relevant post-graduate research experience and accumulated knowledge
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing and with appropriate IT and interpersonal skills
- Experience in relevant approaches and models, analytical techniques and methods
- Desirable: Experience in assessment of knowledge of RNA-based bioinformatics.
