Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join a MRFF funded programme of research that aims to investigate how we can use computational models and data analysis techniques to improve cardiac patient care.
Duties and responsibilities
The project will involve the analysis and curation of cardiology clinical data and running cardiac electrophysiology and mechanics simulations.
You will be responsible for leading project planning, software implementation and independently perform and analyse in-silico experiments; interacting and discussing your research with clinicians; building, managing and maintaining international collaborations; keeping up to date with the literature relative to the project; maintaining and curating clinical data; organising and reporting your results and writing scientific publications; attending international conferences and presenting your work; complying with the College, Division, and Unit safety practices and to attend courses on safety when appropriate.
Essential requirements
Research Associate: Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science or a closely related discipline
Research Assistant: Near completion of a PhD (or equivalent) in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science or a closely related discipline
Practical experience within a research environment and / or publication in relevant and refereed journals
Experience in working with other multidisciplinary researchers.
Experience in project planning
Experience clinical data analysis and curation

This is a Full Time and Fixed Term position for 2 years based at the Hammersmith Campus.
Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range \xc2\xa338,194 - \xc2\xa341,388 per annum.
