Title: Requirements Engineer
We are recruiting for an experienced Requirements Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support a large nuclear infrastructure programme based in Scotland.
The Requirements Engineer plays a pivotal role in requirements development projects by identifying, documenting, and managing the functional and non-functional requirements of a system or application. This role acts as a bridge between stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business and user requirements.
Create clear, concise, and comprehensive requirement documents (Requirements Traceability matrices), including functional and non-functional requirements using systems engineering techniques.
Analyse gathered requirements to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and conflicts, working closely with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies and refine requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise requirements based on their criticality, feasibility, and impact on project goals, helping to manage scope and expectations.
Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, design, development, and testing phases, ensuring that each requirement is met and verified during the project lifecycle.
Manage changes to requirements throughout the project, ensuring proper impact assessment, communication, and documentation of changes to stakeholders.
What We Need
Proficiency in requirement elicitation techniques and documentation tools
Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Adaptability to changing project needs and priorities
General background in mechanical engineering
Broad understanding of statutory legislation/regulations
Design and build project knowledge, including site experience
Domain knowledge relevant to nuclear infrastructure would be an advantage.
Security Requirements
You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.
Due to the nature of this project, only British born nationals will be considered.
Location
You will need your own transport and must be prepared to travel to site.
The client site is in the Argyll and Bute area.
