A.M. Nomikos operates a commercial, corporate and technical ship management service for ship owning entities.The Company employs over 1,600 personnel worldwide, on land and sea-based operations. The Head Office and central management is located in Athens with commercial activities situated in London.The company was originally involved in coastal shipping and over the past 6 decades has grown into all main types of Dry Bulk vessels, with a principal focus on the Geared segment. Most recently the company has expanded capabilities in the management of Container ships.As a Reporting and Market Research Analyst you will deliver professional Dry Bulk market research and analysis to the commercial team and investment committee and contribute to the company\'s commercial reporting.The role is suited to analysts, economists, and business intelligence professionals who support commercial business activities, whether in the maritime industry, commodities market, banking, independent research company, or elsewhere.Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyse, and interpret data to keep our principals, traders and clients informed about the latest market information.
  • Analyse internal and external market data to forecast trends and stay updated on industry developments and emerging opportunities.
  • Assist in strategy development and business growth opportunities by generating pitch ideas.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis for specific projects.
  • Provide daily exposure reports for futures and physical trade books.
  • Prepare high-value research reports on specialist markets and produce reports based on surveys and financial market data.
  • Generate Excel pivot reports for quarterly ad-hoc analysis.
  • Update company presentation material in PowerPoint on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant field.
  • 2-3 years\' statistical analysis experience in maritime, commodities, banking, or independent research.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including report writing.
  • Advantageous to have survey and corporate finance knowledge.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
