About LMH Summer Programmes



LMH is looking to appoint a number of Remote Learning Coordinators to contribute to the practical organisation and running of the College's short academic summer programmes. LMH Summer Programmes are intensive courses of study for visiting students, consisting of lectures, seminars, and tutorials alongside a social and cultural programme of trips and activities.

Programme Dates:


Session 1:

30 June - 18 July 2025

Session 2:

21 July - 8 August 2025

Session 3:

11 August - 29 August 2025
Once appointed, Remote Learning Coordinators will need to be available for paid training days in late June.
The Role


Remote Learning Coordinators play a key role in the delivery of the online academic component of the LMH Summer Programmes. Working closely with academic and administrative staff, RLCs contribute to the smooth delivery of online teaching, and provide support to remote students as a point of contact throughout their time studying with LMH.

This is a fixed-term, part-time role suitable for individuals seeking to gain experience in student support and academic administration. An ideal candidate may be a graduate student in one of the subject areas offered on the LMH Summer Programmes, have experience in academic student support, and be confident learning basic AV technical skills.

Reporting Lines



Reports to: SAP Academic Director

Liaises with: Head of SAP, SAP Administrator, AV Technician, and Programme Tutors

Key Responsibilities



Academic Support & Coordination
Support scheduling of online tutorials and seminars for remote participants Ensure all online teaching links, timetables, and calendars are accurate and up to date Maintain consistent communication with tutors and students regarding academic logistics Relay questions to speakers from remote students during live-streamed hybrid lectures
Technical & Platform Management
Troubleshoot basic technical issues for students or tutors during live sessions Liaise with AV team if advanced technical issues arise Ensure sessions are recorded and uploaded securely when appropriate
Student Engagement & Support
Act as the first point of contact for remote students needing assistance Share weekly updates and announcements with online students Collect feedback and flag welfare or engagement issues to the SAP team
Quality Assurance & Admin
Monitor attendance and participation in virtual sessions Gather feedback from tutors and students to help improve delivery Maintain digital records and provide wrap-up reports at the end of the programme Person Specification


Essential


Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Teams Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive problem-solver with a calm, professional manner Able to work independently and manage time efficiently Right to work in the UK

Desirable


Experience delivering or supporting online learning or academic events Experience in a higher education or learning support environment Familiarity with international student needs and time zone coordination Understanding of the Oxford academic structure and tutorial system Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection best practices Terms and Conditions
