Job Summary:
We are seeking a committed Religious Worker (Buddhist Faith) to join our team. This role is ideal for a devout and experienced practitioner who can support our spiritual and cultural activities, contribute to community engagement, and promote Buddhist teachings in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular Buddhist religious practices including chanting, prayers, and meditation sessions.
Assist in organising and leading major Buddhist festivals and holy day observances.
Provide spiritual counselling and guidance to followers and visitors.
Support training programs and workshops on Buddhist teachings and mindfulness.
Represent the Centre in interfaith events and community initiatives.
Help maintain the cleanliness and sanctity of the Centre's meditation spaces and shrines.
Participate in outreach programs promoting peace, sustainability, and social welfare.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge and practice in Theravada or Mahayana Buddhist traditions.
Experience leading Buddhist rituals, meditation, and community practices.
Good moral character, compassionate nature, and commitment to religious service.
Willingness to live and work in accordance with Buddhist ethical principles.
Prior community or temple service experience preferred.
English communication skills suitable for interacting with a diverse community.
