Relief Support WorkerLocation: Sheffield, S4Pay: xc2xa312.21phFULL UK Driving License required for this roleYou will need to be caring, ambitious, thoughtful and kind. Relief work offers ultimate flexibility - with no obligation to accept shifts you can fit your work around your personal commitments. Rather than accruing annual leave this is paid on top of your hourly rate as you work. Whether you have supported people with learning disabilities before or you are looking for a change of career, we would love to hear from you. It is a great footstep into the healthcare sector.What will I be doingSupport: Supporting a sprightly gentleman in his 70s, in his own supported living home
Driving: You'll need to be his chauffeur for those scenic country drives and visits to his favorite spots
Activities: He's got a green thumb with his veg patch and flowers, and loves a good old-school soap operaPersonal Traits:

  • He's fiercely independent, so no mollycoddling!
  • Loves his colorful shirts and has a personality to match
  • Never misses a Sunday dinner and loves his traditional meals
  • Coffee and biscuits are a must (don't let that biscuit tin run dry!)
Social Life:
  • Family and friends are his world
  • Enjoys a weekly outing to a day service
Support Needed:
  • Keeping an eye on his prescribed meds
  • Making sure his bungalow is spick and span
  • Helping him manage his finances (he's a stickler for budgeting)
The Support Worker he is looking forPersonality: Respectful of his independence, friendly, and supportive without being overbearing
Skills: Good communication, budgeting, and basic home maintenance
Interests: Enjoys gardening, driving, and watching classic TV showsShift times: Early, lates, long days including sleep ins.
