Relationship Manager, Combined Arts (LL69)

Contract: Permanent, working 17.5 hours (2.5 days) per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: \xc2\xa337,521 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: London (The role will be based in London; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members if the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

Arts Council England is looking for a Relationship Manager, Combined Arts, to join it\xe2\x80\x99s busy London area team on a part time \xe2\x80\x93 2.5 days per week contract. We are particularly keen to hear from people with knowledge and experience in arts centres and grass roots community venues.

You will be responsible for investing in and developing a portfolio of Combined Arts (this might include carnival arts, festivals, arts centres, grass roots community venues) related organisations and individuals, as well as sharing your expertise across the whole range of artforms and disciplines supported by the Arts Council.

You will have knowledge and experience in Combined Arts and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. You will be able to support others to make positive change and be comfortable communicating with colleagues and external contacts at all levels.

The role will involve:

  • Giving funding advice, assessing grant applications, understanding project information, and monitoring performance
  • Assessing financial information, identifying risk, and providing feedback on artistic and organisational plans
  • Working as part of a place based regional group, setting up funding surgeries or meeting with a Local Authority to discuss place-based priorities, particularly in our Priority Places or Levelling Up for Culture places
  • Working outside your specialism on a range of Arts Council initiatives
  • Being a crucial part of the London and national Combined Arts teams
