Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
The Group Finance Team is a key enabler for the Group success and provide high quality analysis both internally and externally. We are a professional and judicious team; frequently exposed to highly sensitive Group data whilst delivering within Aldermore's fast paced environment.
We are a high performing, high profile team who liaise and support at the highest level both internally and externally on all Regulatory Reporting. The role of a Regulatory Reporting Lead is important to us. You will be involved in the production and review of a number of the Group's regulatory returns, principally supporting the production of Financial reporting and other returns to both the UK regulators (PRA and FCA) and South African regulator (PA) providing input and insight as appropriate. In addition, this role involves providing key inputs from a regulatory reporting perspective for various Finance and Treasury change projects.
This role will be based in our London office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You'll be made to feel part of your new team by your line manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.
What will your day look like?
Responsible for the end-to-end process for FINREP reporting to the PRA through the Moody's Analytics automated system including co-ordination, data review, issue clearance, sign off and procedural improvements.
Responsible for the end-to-end process for Bank of England Statistical Reporting preparation through the Moody's Analytics automated system including co-ordination, data review, issue clearance, sign off and procedural improvements.
Support the UAT testing for financial reporting and Bank of England related returns for Project Phoenix.
Responsible for leading the closure of related Regulatory Reporting related DQIs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Responsible for completing any ad-hoc tasks such as QIS, impact analysis relating to reporting to our Head office in South Africa - First Rand.
Continue to enhance overall governance, reconciliation, and review process.
What do we expect from you?
You are qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
You have Regulatory Reporting experience obtained through your prior roles.
You have a broad understanding of banking products.
You must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.
You are a driven individual, able to maintain strong focus, adapt quickly and demonstrate sound motivational qualities, both individually and as part of a team
You act as a role model to the team, ensuring that you consistently lead by example and constantly seek opportunities to nurture and develop their career aspirations.
