We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and adaptable Officer to support the Regulatory Affairs and Policy team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the team's mission to ensure the Bank is on top of regulatory developments, has strong relationships with our regulators, and contributes to regulatory policy development.

As Regulatory Affairs & Policy Officer, you will provide essential coordination and record keeping support to the team, whilst also assisting with key aspects of regulatory affairs and policy work. This role is perfect for a highly organised and proactive individual who is eager to learn and develop a career in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities

Regulatory Affairs support: Help ensure that the focus areas and expectations of regulators are well understood, communicated within and and met by Starling. Assist in the coordination of regulatory engagement activities, including prep calls and workshops as appropriate ahead of regulatory engagements. Support SMFs and subject matter experts across the bank in providing accurate and clear responses to regulatory information requests. Support SMFs and subject matter experts across the bank in ensuring timely notifications of relevant matters are made to the regulators, ensuring an open and transparent dialogue is maintained. Support the preparation where required of professional communications to the regulator, with exceptional attention to detail and presentation. Coordination and recordkeeping: Manage the Regulatory Affairs Database, ensuring accurate records are kept of regulatory correspondence, interactions and submissions. Manage the Regulatory Affairs Action Tracker, ensuring clear records are kept of regulatory requests and tracking internally to ensure timely delivery. Manage the Regulatory Affairs Calendar, including supporting scheduling meetings between Starling executives and Board members with the regulators, and booking rooms where necessary. Manage Regulatory Affairs internal reporting, ensuring that management and key Committees are aware of key developments via relevant MI. Organise the Regulatory Affairs team's files and working documents, promoting efficiency and effectiveness in team working. Regulatory Policy support: Assist in the preparation of responses to regulatory consultations - working closely with Corporate Affairs and policy colleagues across the bank. Stakeholder engagement Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient communication and collaboration.

Requirements:



You are a highly organised and efficient individual with excellent attention to detail. You have strong stakeholder management skills, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders You have strong written and verbal communication skills. You have sound judgement and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. You are good at planning, multi-tasking and juggling evolving priorities. You are proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently. You are comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You have strong influencing skills and an ability to manage change and react quickly. You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You are have knowledge about, or an interest to learn about, financial services regulation You might have experience of PRA or FCA supervision having worked in a regulator, bank or consultancy. Or you might have had relevant experience managing external stakeholder relationships
