Job Summary

Due to expansion, we are looking for a part time RVN to join our friendly small team at our independent small animal practice located in the beautiful countryside village of Maisemore in Gloucestershire. We love all our clients and we care about our staff and prioritise their welfare. You will definitely enjoy working in a small team where our clients and their pets are treated as family. We are a new and growing independent practice looking for the right candidate who will be interested in growing with the practice. We are very family friendly.

The role will be part time, no OOHs, 1 in 3 Saturdays 8.30 - 1pm, FTE of 27-29k is commensurate with industry standards and dependent on experience. Extra reward for an exceptional candidate will be considered. 4 weeks holiday + bank hols, sick pay and pension paid. There is staff discount available for own pets and CPD is funded and encouraged.

Responsibilities

- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries
- Monitoring and caring for animals post-surgery
- Administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Conducting laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Providing nursing care to inpatients
- Maintaining accurate records of patient treatments and progress

Skills

- Proficient in veterinary nursing techniques
- Competent in laboratory procedures related to animal care
- Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and pet owners
- Must be friendly and have great ability to work in a team
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-29,000.00 per year
