We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Service Manager for allocations in the Greater Manchester region to join us to support the on-going development and management of our semi-independent living team. You will be expected to be pro-active in this role and travel across sites periodically.
Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for all aspects of supportive accommodation across your assigned allocations at Upwards care solutions Ltd, to manage directly Team Leaders, Support Coordinators and Support Workers within your Registered provision to a high strategic standard. To ensure the company ethos of providing a safe, secure, and caring environment which allows young people to transition with confidence into their adult life.
Salary & Benefits:
37,000 - 40,000 per annum
40 hours per week Monday-Sunday, this would include one weekend per month. You will also have a 30-minute unpaid break each day.
QCF LEVEL 4 / 5 Health & Social care (Qualifying period / probation period successfully completed)

Role and Responsibilities
The Registered Service Manager must ensure they have oversight of all their placements within their allocation ensuring that their staff team are completing their duties as per the company structure.
The Registered Service Manager is to ensure the independent living programme is effectively being used and developed within each service following the company's statement of purpose and workforce development plans.
The Registered Service Manager is responsible to comply with all regulatory requirements with Ofsted
The Registered Service Manager will be expected to become a registered manager for UCS LTD for their assigned allocations.
The Registered Service Manager must safeguard lead for their allocations. Making sure that the views, wishes and feelings throughout their placement at Upwards care solutions.
The Registered Service Manager is to ensure their team are overseeing are providing young people within our services are receiving the highest quality service and are subject to effective care planning arrangements.
To take overall line management responsibilities for the development of their team as part of the growth of UCS
To supervise their team and ensuring their personal development plans are in line with the workforce development plan
To be accountable for managing the overall budgets within agreed and established cash limits throughout their allocations.
To ensure their allocations have everything it requires to provide effective support for the young people within our services.
Becoming the lead to the development of their services to establish integrated strategic and operational partnerships with commissioning teams.
Referral screening for their regions, the Registered Service Manager is to oversee and lead referrals to prevent voids in any service.
To monitor and audit your services the services at UCS.
To manage sensitively but firmly placing an emphasis on leadership.
To ensure the company hierarchy is adhered to at all times and any concerns to be managed and shared throughout the correct channels.
To ensure any changes to regulation are embedded in the company policies and procedures and strategically shared with their allocated homes within 16+
The Registered Service Manager will work closely with the Head of Service and to confirm the quality and appropriateness of service we are providing.
The Registered Service Manager must visit homes as and when required to ensure their team are completing the quality assurance of each of our services.
The Registered Service Manager will oversee the documentation systems under each of their service.
The Registered Service Manager is to create audit reports for the Head of Service once per month.
The Registered Service Manager is responsible for using their skills, knowledge, experience and imagination to ensure that service provision processes used by themselves and staff they manage are effective.
The Registered Service Manager is expected to use imagination, innovation skills and knowledge whilst developing their services regulated by Ofsted supporting the Head of Service with inspections for the organisation.
All new properties within their allocation to become open to have the Registered Service Manager leading recruitment and development for each service.
Keeping up to date with new legislation, regulations, contracting authority guidelines, and communicating the same to their team.
Amending policies and procedures, producing new documents as required through changes or up-dates in legislation/ regulations/guidelines. Including the Ofsted 5 standards of support which was introduced 2023.
Overall responsibility for the health and safety of their homes within the 16+ services. This is including fire risk assessments and all regulatory requirements.
To take the lead on the recruitment of their team for the organisation making sure their skill set is within the need of the organisation and within the view of Ofsted.
