Job Description
Potton House Care Home is located in the market town of Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. Our home offers specialist nursing and dementia support for 24 adults, with 24-hour input from registered nurses. We can also offer end of life/palliative care and respite services. Our home offers a specialised Dementia Plus service, which supports people who have dementia who may have complex support needs. Our goal at Potton House is to provide personalised care, support, and outcomes to the people who live here, in a dignified manner.
Confident enough to make autonomous decisions, while collaborative enough to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ideally have significant previous nursing experience in older peoples care homes and demonstrate true commitment both to your own personal development and to the development of your wider team.

The qualities and skills we look for:
RGN/ RMN Qualified & NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) Registered
Previous older peoples care experience is desirable but not essential
Caring & compassionate with an excellent clinical track record
Passionate about delivering outstanding care to older people
Excellent organisation & leadership skills
Effective communication skills
Flexible, professional and committed to being the best
Quality driven with a desire to continually improve yourself & our services
All nurses who work in our Older People Services receive a paid 15-minute handover following a 12-hour shift.
