The Client
Compass Associates are working with a private surgical hospital located in South Manchester in their search of an experienced Nurse to join them on their pre-assessment unit. This large private hospital covers a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, cardiology, neurosurgery, gynaecology, cosmetic surgery, and ophthalmology and works closely with local NHS trusts.

They have state-of-the-art theatres, a fully equipped critical care unit, minor procedures unit and a private walk-in centre / urgent care centre and are currently undergoing a huge transformation in regard to brand new equipment, facilities and upskilling of staff.

The Role
As a Registered Nurse working in their pre-assessment unit you will be responsible for carrying out pre-operative tests, ECG\'s, bloods, medicine management and taking medical history. You will report into the Clinical Services Manager, supported by the Charge Nurse to ensure the highest standards of care is delivered to all patients.

This is a full time opportunity which involves working 37.5 hour working weeks Monday through Saturday with the department opening from 07:00 \xe2\x80\x93 20:00. This is an excellent opportunity which will give you a good work-life balance and will allow you to work within a safe and controlled environment. You must be a Registered General Nurse to apply and be successful in this opportunity and be registered with the NMC.

Requirements
\xe2\x80\x93 Qualified Nurse with active NMC PIN
\xe2\x80\x93 Minimum of 6 months experience working in essential areas of practice i.e. general surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmics and gynaecology
\xe2\x80\x93 Excellent communication skills
\xe2\x80\x93 Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
