The M Word cic is passionate about mental health and its early prevention. We are dedicated to helping neurodiverse individuals experiencing mental health issues regain their self-esteem and confidence. Our mission is to provide compassionate support and effective care to enhance the well-being of our clients. 70% of our clients are young people of which 80% are unable to attend mainstream school due to high levels of anxiety. 40% can be mute in their presentation making engagement hard for them to access. Many of them are into some form of gaming/technology. We pride ourselves on being able to reach even the most complex of presentations due to our skill set, knowledge and experience.

Summary



We are seeking a talented Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at The M Word cic. You will be qualified to Masters level with a further qualification or training in a talking therapy. You are passionate about your clients, and take pride in your work, willing to think outside of the box with hard to reach clients, often unable to advocate for themselves. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to individuals facing mental health challenges, contributing significantly to their journey towards recovery. The role is flexible with regards to hours to fit around your family commitments.

Responsibilities



Provide comprehensive nursing care to neurodiverse clients experiencing a range of mental health issues including Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). Assess client's needs and develop individualized care plans Be familiar with screening tools to provide evidence to support care plans and reasoning behind your clinical judgement Support clients in developing coping strategies, improving self-esteem, and rebuilding their resilience following a breakdown in their mental health. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care. Document client progress and maintain accurate records.

Requirements



Registered Mental Health Nurse with a specialization in Autism and ADHD with PDA profiles. Masters level 10 years clinical experience directly working with clients of which a minimum of 3 years must be CAMHS experience further training with a talking therapy (e.g. Interpersonal Therapy, EMDR, Social Role Valorisation) Strong knowledge of anatomy and mental health practices. Excellent client care skills with a compassionate approach. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. strong knowledge/experience in gaming (e.g. Minecraft/Fortnite)
