Job Description

We are looking for a competent and experienced Home Manager to work in our Nursing Home in Wroughton, Swindon. We provide care for up to 21 adults who may live with or without dementia and do so in a safe, friendly and homely environment.

You will be registered with CQC and take responsibility of managing all aspects of the home with support from your fellow colleagues. Time management is important, good knowledge of CQC regulations, the day to day running of a care home and marketing and networking knowledge. Good clinical knowledge is important around creating and updating care plans, risk assessments, staff training and meeting resident's needs. A good understanding of quality assurance and audits needed to ensure a high quality of service is being provided.

Requirements:



NVQ/QCF Level 5 or working towards

Experience of supporting people living with dementia

Experience of Nursing preferred

Experience of working with adults over 65

Occasional working unsociable hours to understand all aspects of the home

The role will involve:

Ensure the delivery of high quality care - continually assessing our residents' needs and wishes and developing the home to enhance their quality of life. Actively ensuring good levels of occupancy are maintained - utilizing links with the local community, local authorities, positively marketing the home and increasing public awareness of our services. Take on complete accountability for the home - ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining good staffing levels, maintaining good occupancy and to ensure company policies are followed. Take on an active leadership role - you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty four hour business. Developing your people, your biggest asset - you will have the opportunity to build your staff teams knowledge and competence by ensuring we recruit the right people and providing service specific training tailored to individuals. To ensure care plans and risk assessments are always in line with residents needs. To maintain good relationships with external healthcare professionals and agencies.
