DXB Pump and DXB Integrate are privately owned organisations based in Suffolk and Wigan that respectively design, manufacture and sell or rent premium pumping equipment and solutions.
The company is small, focused and technically very capable of operating in its chosen high end, high margin markets offering technical superior equipment and levels of service.
The company is ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO45001 certified and takes its position as a leading supplier of environmental pumping solutions very seriously recognising its ability to develop and exploit its technical knowledge, passion and ability to rapidly design new products and bring them to market far faster than any other competitor.
The company supplies major blue chip customers in the UK that have many locations throughout the country and now has identified that the organisation requires additional people and locations to service those customers that operate in the quarrying, geotechnical (drilling & piling), oil & gas and finally water management markets.
Role Overview
DXB Integrate Limited (DXBi) is the sales and rental operation servicing these markets, and operates in the 250m portable pump hire and sales in the UK which is dominated by a few large international organisations. The growth potential of this market itself is mature and therefore DXBi growth and success will come from taking market share from the existing competitors in the market that are less customer focused and dynamic.
The role of Regional Sales Manager is critical to the success of this strategy in being the point person in the market place to develop new business and ensure existing customers continue to be serviced to the highest levels.
The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with both the Internal Sales Team Regional Service Engineers and Regional Operations Managers in developing new and repeat business in the markets to ensure consistent and sustainable growth in a specified sales region.
The specific end-user markets in these regions are generally more technically challenging markets with higher margin applications that warrant the choosing of DXB companies and their products.
These sub-markets include: Quarry dewatering, quarry slurry pumping, quarry processing pumping, geotechnical pumping (drilling fluids), industrial pumping on refineries, processing plants, petrochemical plants, flood control management, wastewater/sewage bypass.
The products offered into these markets are generally portable Stage 5 emission compliant engine driven, electric motor driven or hydraulically motor driven all housed within sound attenuated, fully bunded steel canopies that are focused on reducing environmental impacts of pumping such as noise and pollution.
The role of the Regional Sales Manager is to operate in these regions, in these submarkets and develop pumping solutions with the companies experience, knowledge and market leading products maximising the revenues and profits of the business in the most environmental and customer focused manner possible.
As Regional Sales Manager, you'll get to:
Develop an expert understanding of portable and fixed installed pump industry, our pump range and services including up-to-date knowledge of applications, complimentary technology/equipment and the direction of the market.
Develop and continue to develop a first class technical knowledge of pumping, pump applications (in our markets) including a clear understanding of basic pump hydraulics, engines, motors, control systems and telemetry.
Learn and continuously develop a good understanding of system engineering and the impact on energy consumption, choices of energy, impact on the environment particularly pollution.
Provide both tactical leadership and direction to the Sales Team ensuring that sales targets are achieved and exceeded in your region and markets.
Own, grow and manage your own customer accounts in your region and be able to present technical applications to your customer.
Build and nurture relationships with your customer accounts through gaining trust and confidence in you and in our products and our company.
Work collaboratively across the whole sales organisation and DXB organisations to build, maintain and develop profitable business relations.
Engineer solutions in cooperation with the inside sales and engineering teams to fulfil customers demands and requirements.
Develop commercial solutions, quotations and other sales documents to present the solutions to the customer and follow up to point of order and completion.
What we are looking for:
A successful proven track record in a senior sales role where you have delivered strategic aims and driven growth plans.
Extensive experience in developing sales strategies, plans and tools to maximise sales in the region and individual markets
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver professional and clear presentations, both online and face to face.
Demonstrate a professional approach to the role, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and seek continuous improvements to our ways of working.
Developing/coaching/training a sales team.
Good people management skills.
Excellent IT skills in using Mac/MS computers, MS software and other technical software such as pump selection and system calculation software.
Minimum GCSE/O Level C in Mathematics and English or equivalent
Holder of a full driving licence.
