An exciting opportunity to lead an established team in the H&S safety of Projects within the South Midlands and Anglian region!
The Company
As one of the UK\xe2\x80\x99s leading Engineering and Construction companies, they are currently working on a number Rail Civil Engineering projects across the UK. They have a healthy portfolio of works in areas such as commercial, industrial, education, rail, aviation, waste and energy, and they are now looking to grow their team, with the addition of a Regional Health & Safety Manager.
The Role
You will be responsible for the management of all Health & Safety related matters across the Anglia and Midlands regions, and towards London. Reporting to the Senior H&S Manager. Due to the range of projects across the UK (Midlands, Anglia and Essex), you must be flexible to travel \xe2\x80\x93 fully expensed, to attend and chair numerous meetings, briefings and conferences with all the relevant stakeholders (Private investors, clients, Public, Sub Contractors, internal site teams). It is expected that you will be on site approximately 3 days a weeek. Driving a positive Health and Safety culture across the regions. Working closely with various stakeholders with projects to provide the H&S input for project in the pre-qualification through to completion. While on sites you\xe2\x80\x99ll also be carrying out site inspections and liaising with Project Managers, and other employees concerning works being carried out. You will be responsible for delivering training programmes and safety workshops, whilst also working closely with your team to discuss concerns or successes relating to HSQE across the various projects.
Requirements
You\xe2\x80\x99ll be an experience HSQE Manager or Senior Advisor from the Rail, Civil Engineering or Construction sector looking for that next step to progress your career.
With accreditations such as NEBOSH Dip qualified, with the desire to gain a CMIOSH as the company would mentor you to achieving your CMIOSH if not already obtained.
You must be flexible to travel and lodge away for this role, and it will be fully expensed.
