Packaged & Speciality (P&S) is one of the most exciting categories at Sainsbury\xe2\x80\x99s, and with millions of customers every week, our products are essential whether you\xe2\x80\x99re having beans for breakfast or cooking up the latest cuisine. But it\'s our "Speciality" areas that we see as the biggest untapped growth opportunities and this role has been newly created to grow our Total Food business in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

This is not a traditional category planning position; this is a strategic high-profile opportunity for someone who can leverage their network, their influencing skills, understanding of customers, commercials, and colleagues to deliver against the huge opportunity we believe exists in our Regions.

In this pivotal role, there is the chance to scope and shape our strategy to create and deliver a market leading proposition for our Regional customers. We already have a strong regional product range in the home nations, however, there is headroom to drive other elements of the customer experience to match our competitors and win greater share of wallet.

As a Regional Category Planner, you\xe2\x80\x99ll:

\xc2\xb7 Use data & insights, our suppliers and existing regional team to scope & define the creation of a market leading proposition for our customers

\xc2\xb7 Identify & prioritise opportunities for growth across range, channels, legislation, operations, buying and selling strategies

\xc2\xb7 Design & deliver this growth programme to achieve the fair share opportunity across our Food Business, planning 1-3 years ahead

\xc2\xb7 Set project milestones, deliverables, ARCIs and measures of success

\xc2\xb7 Engage senior leaders across the business to ensure their teams\' support covering Marketing, Commercial Operations, Trading, Retail Operations to name a few

\xc2\xb7 Utilise your strong network and ability to drive change through others

\xc2\xb7 Track and review progress against KPIs and cash target, continuously iterating the programme to engineer growth

\xc2\xb7 Regularly update senior stakeholders on progress and further support required

Our Packaged & Speciality team would love to see:

\xc2\xb7 Proven success in end-to-end strategic planning, from setting project objectives based on customer, commercial and operational outcomes to embedding plan with teams and delivering

\xc2\xb7 Relentless focus on spotting opportunities for growth and efficiency

\xc2\xb7 Excellent stakeholder management, able to build strong relationships and deliver through cross-functional team

\xc2\xb7 Confidence and experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across business required to gain support for programme

\xc2\xb7 Proven customer-centricity, with a solid foundation in data and insights

\xc2\xb7 Commercially astute with laser-sharp focus on delivering against KPIs

\xc2\xb7 Efficient and organised, thrives off planning and coordinating, with experience of successful project management

\xc2\xb7 Highly analytical, capable of interpreting multiple complex sources and communicating the \xe2\x80\x98so what?\xe2\x80\x99 simply and impactfully

\xc2\xb7 Resilient to working with high degree of ambiguity

\xc2\xb7 Solid understanding of retail and commercial operations necessary
